Wifi in Singapore

Luckily for laptop users in Singapore, wireless internet is easy to come by in most of the city-state thanks to the [email protected] program.

[email protected] is a wireless broadband programme developed by the Singapore authorities which provides users with a free wireless broadband access in most public areas. All three local wireless operators, SingTel, StarHub and M1 are responsible for deploying the broadband network over the city-state. You simply have to register with the mobile operator of your choice, and connect to the service when available. If unfortunately you are in an area that is not covered yet, usually can find independent cafes, bars, and restaurants who offer their own wifi network you can connect to once you purchase a latte.

Free internet access is also available throughout the Changi Airport.

For even more options, you can sign up for a 3G plan with SingTel, StarHub or M1.
